Science Can't Explain Away God. Religion Can't Explain Away Science. Science is here to explain the way things consistently work. Or if they work inconsistently, why and when they will not work the way we previously thought. We take a hypothesis based on observation. Come up with a way to test it. Check to see if it worked the way we thought. When our previous hypothesis fails to explain what we observe, we update the hypothesis and figure out a new experiment to refine our way of thinking. It merely is a system that helps explain our observations of the present and the past and helps us make more accurate predictions for the future. And as it turns out, if we record our observations and move systematically, we can use our knowledge to do a wide range of things. Everything from grow more corn, to make gas emit light, and more.
